Something Scary for Friday

It's Halloween weekend!

Nightmare's Fear Factory haunted house of Niagra Falls, Canada has a photobooth at a freaky stage of their experience. The results are posted on a Flickr stream. Oh and they are hilarious.

Hahahahahah. There are hundreds more like this, so be sure to check them out.

The week in review :

Twilight shirts are back on sale in time for Breaking Dawn!

Halloween can get a little weird. Don't serve these if I'm coming to your party.

Crayola® Color Guide : Dandelion

Dandelion is a happy color with substance. Brighter than mustard, but more orange than pure yellow,  Crayola®'s Dandelion is warm and welcoming. It is a more subdued way to add the brightness of yellow. Here are some ways to use Dandelion :

  1. Waving stripes curtains in yellow
  2. Oval Stacks necklace
  3. Yellow Striped Paper Straws with DIY Flags from sweetestelle
  4. Round velvet pintuck pillow
  5. Chelsea Crew "Sari" wedges
  6. Awesome Owl Catch-All Dish (Ring holder!)
  7. Yellow and blue bedroom from Better Homes and Gardens
  8. Yellow ranunculus from eventsinbloom.com

I know Halloween is supposed to be creepy but...

Happy week before Halloween! I have some themed posts planned for the week.

I love Halloween. I love playing adult dress up. But there is something about Halloween that makes people do crazy things. It easily leaks into tacky, tasteless, or gross. People let their wacky out...in the name of...decorating? scaring? entertaining? Unfortunately so many times, the result is just too weird. Some examples :

Buried Alive Muffins from Everyday with Rachel Ray

Shrunken Heads from Marthastewart.com

I don't know. Too far? Or appropriately Halloween?

Twilight Shirts are Back Again

Apparently Breaking Dawn Part 1 arrives on November 18th.  I had no idea it was coming up so soon! Maybe I've been too focused on The Hunger Games to notice. Maybe my brain has room for one mega sci-fi/fantasy series at a time.

But because Twilight time has dawned again, it's time to break out the tees! I have limited stock available on these, (all the Team Mike shirts are sold out!).

This post is a little bit of double announcement. I've launched my Etsy store : L-HopDesigns. I'll make a more formal introduction when it's fully loaded, but for now, you can purchase Team Twilight shirts there.

So check them out and stock up for the Breaking Dawn premier!

Something Minimal for Friday/Thursday

I'm cutting the week short because Kansas is in my plans! Kansas! Sweet homeland. Though it is only Thursday, I'm signing off with my regular Friday post.

These children's posters by Christian Jackson excite me on two levels : 1. Fairy tales. 2. Great minimal and symbolic graphic design.

Only two posts to review from this short week!

Fried plantains recipe/experiment.

Chevron product guide!

Everyone have a minimal weekend!  Hm.  Put a positive spin on that please.
